Sunken Road at Antietam

Here are some shots from the area of the "Sunken Road" (Bloody Lane) at the Antietam National Battlefield:





The park ranger giving the tour was kind enough to give us ice water from his van. The temperature was about 100. You can see the observation tower beyond his door in the distance:
