Three weeks ago we all traveled to the Episcopal Retreat Center at Shrinemont for a lovely and relaxed weekend in Orkney Springs, Virginia (click here). It's high time I posted a few pictures from the weekend. It's fun to compare similar shots taken at this time last year at Shrinemont (e.g., click here and here).

A Brief Return to Last Month

May 11th was both Mother's Day and Pentecost Sunday. We took this family portrait at church that morning, but it was such a busy time of year, and then the earthquake hit China, that we never posted it. I was going back over our recent photos tonight and discovered it:

Father's Day 2008

Rebecca made daddy a lovely card with her handprints done in finger-paint. She also made a lovely votive candle-holder, with a sand design glued on the outside. (She's holding it in her hands in this snap-shot.) I love your gifts, Rebecca, and I love you!
