Rebecca's Baptism is this Friday, November 2nd

Here is today's Announcement, sent out by Dean McNaughton-Ayers:

Rebecca Ketziah Cook, beloved daughter of Stephen and Catherine Cook will be baptized at the Community Eucharist on Friday evening, November 2nd at 6pm in the Chapel. Rebecca was born March 30th, 2006 and was adopted 8 months ago on March 5th, 2007.

Come and sing in the intergenerational choir! Rehearsals are at 4:30pm on Thursday, November 1st in Key Hall and on Friday, November 2nd at 5pm in the Chapel.

Normally, a parish community celebrates All Saints Day with Holy Baptism or including the Baptismal Covenant on the Sunday following November 1st. Because our whole community cannot worship together on Sunday or during the weekday, we are celebrating in the spirit of this major feast on Friday evening, November 2nd.

As you well know, on the feast of All Saints we are celebrating the unity of the entire Church in one community of both the living and the dead made known through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We come together on Friday to mark Rebecca’s entrance into that Body. We are also remembering those men and women who have gone before us who inspire us by their exemplary lives of faith.

Holy Eucharist and Baptism at 6pm in the Chapel

Con-Celebrants: The Rev. Martha Horne and the Rev. Anne Ritchie.
Preacher: Dr. Judy Fentress-Williams .

Dinner follows in the Refectory.
