Referrals Arriving in Europe!
RQ is reporting that referrals arrived in Europe today and that several US agencies are saying that they expect them here in the US tomorrow. The referrals go well past our own log-in date, so we should be included. Is our purgatory finally over?? Once our referral finally does arrive here at the Barker Agency in Bethesda, it will have to be faxed for translation over night. That would mean we would get to see it at Barker sometime on Thursday (if all this holds up).

Saying a prayer that it comes through for you. Dear friends of mine have two beautiful daughters from China and it has been wonderful for them, for the girls, and for the whole community. I heard on the radio that China is now changing eligibility requirements for adoptive parents. Since you're already in the queue, are you grandfathered in?

Thanks Mibi52! Yes, thank goodness, the new rules will not affect us. However, it may be that referrals are arriving so late this time around because announcing the new restrictions took up so much energy. ---S & C
