CDC Recommends Three New Shots!

CDC Recommends Three New Immunizations for Children
"New shots for your child" in the "Kid's Health" section of the October 2006 issue of "Parenting" magazine noted that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends three new immunizations for children. The first is a second dose of the chicken pox (varicella) vaccine for children 4-6 years old. The second is a recommendation that 3 and 4 year olds should be vaccinated for the flu along with others at risk. The third is a three shot Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) series for 11 and 12 year old girls to help prevent cervical cancer. Talk with your doctor for more information. You can also view press releases from the CDC at the following links:

Today we went to obtain our fingerprints for the 2nd time. They lost our application and offered no accomodation. It was tiring driving in rush hour traffic to get there at 8 AM no less! Steve and I have completed our shots for China and are ready to go but our baby will need shots no doubt!
